Alta Vista was founded by Count Patrick d’Aulan, heir of more than 250 years of winemaking tradition. With an enterprising spirit, he arrived in Argentina in the 90s looking for the best regions of Los Andes. And that’s how he discovered an exceptional terroir for wine production, and gathered a passionate team with a dream in common: To achieve the fullest expression of Argentinean wine and French savoir-faire.
In Alta Vista, we work to raise the experience. We try to exalt Argentinian terroir by following our three essential values:
- Full commitment to our community, place, culture, and environment.
- Constant search of challenges to keep on learning and growing.
- Peaceful coexistence with the unique natural expression of each terroir, known as bio-adaptability.
Our winery is located in Chacras de Coria, Mendoza. Built in 1890, it is a local heritage site of Mendoza. Count Patrick d’Aulan and his family, former owners of Piper Heidsieck, one of the oldest Champagne Houses, developed the project and started the restoration.
Since the moment Alta Vista was founded, research and innovation have been part of the essence of our technical team. Technology applied to winemaking has always been a crucial component of every single process and stage.
