This was followed in the 1970s by the creation of Poggio Rosso, a first, and at the time rare, example of a Chianti Classico ‘cru’.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut it was perhaps the estate’s early research into indigenous grape varieties in the late 1980s, that brought the San Felice production philosophy to full fruition.
