It eventually offers blackberry, briary, crushed stone and a touch of iodine. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins. There is decent structure here, the wine remaining poised and focused with firm backbone from start to finish. Tightly coiled now, give this wine three years in bottle to see it strut its stuff.
