Dashe Cellars Dry Creek Zinfandel is made with 95% Zinfandel, 5% Petite Sirah
The wine was aged for 10 months in a mixture of French oak (30%) and American oak barrels (70%) - 15% new oak
"Crisp and juicy, with layered raspberry and cinnamon aromas and briary tannins that sneak in."
"The 2009 Zinfandel Dry Creek has an attractive wild strawberry and black cherry nose with a hint of roasted herbs. There is tangy acidity and almost Provencal garrigue notes, good pepper and spice. It is a medium-bodied, attractive wine, with elegance and character that should be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
Readers looking for Zinfandel made with a Pinot Noir sensibility should check out these efforts from Dashe Cellars."
