As wine-making is not exactly an exact science, and because Mother Nature often fails to deliver exactly the right amount of the right fruit and the right time, frequently there are odd lots of wine to deal with. At Definive, they take these odd lots, made from top quality fruit grown in top notch vineyards, and make them into unique lots of Definitive Wines. The vineyards were planted in 1973, and are situated near the Napa-Sonoma county line at the southern end of the appellation.
