Finca Allende Aurus Rioja is made from TEMPRANILLO 85% GRACIANO 15%. 

An intense red-purple colour. Potent and elegant on the nose with a great complexity of aromas (jams, minerals, menthol, spices, wild herbs, toffee and cacao).

Great harmony in the mouth with very marked sweet tannins, very complex and full of flavours of black fruits, raisins, liquorice, coffee, ink and aromatic herbs. Persistent lingering finish. Excellent wine for aging.

BRIONES age average of the vineyard, 60 years, high density plantation. With bush pruning.Loamy Clayey soils with abundant gravel and stones in depth. Sustainable cultivation with respects the environment and which follows the natural cycles of the plant, with organic fertilizers and mechanical work without using herbicides. Manual harvest and the bunches are selected by hand in the winery.

Review:

(raised for two years in new French oak) Brilliant red. A flamboyantly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red/blue fruits, vanilla and incense, with 2 vibrant mineral quality adding ‘energetic lift. Spice-accented blueberry, raspberry liqueur and candied lavender flavors deepen slowly with air while maintaining impressive clarity. Shows a velvety texture and excellent delineated floral-driven finish, which is given shape by smooth, well-knit tannins. ~Josh Raynolds
