From the cool, wind-swept McMinnville AVA in Oregon's Willamette Valley, La Biblioteca's Estate Reserve Pinot Noir is a site-driven wine of red-fruited lift, savory spice, and fine tannin — grown on marine-sediment and volcanic soils.
Review:
Fresh and fruit-driven, the Estate Reserve is comprised of a mixture of clones from the Aegrina estate in the cool, west-facing hills of the McMinnville AVA. One winemaker, Rob Brittan, began this wine and finished by Burgundian Francois Millet. It shows generous red fruits, fresh cranberries, raspberries and a touch of piquant blood orange. The palate flashes savoury herbs, tart red fruits and sour Montmorency cherries carrying the finish.

A dusting of sweet spice and crushed violet candies gives way to ripe blackberries as the exuberant 2022 Pinot Noir Estate Reserve emerges from the glass. Round and soothing upon entry, this flows across the palate with lifted textures and pure red and blue fruits. Brisk acidity maintains fantastic freshness as the 2022 tapers off with staining length and grippy tannins, maintaining energy throughout.

Medium red-colored, the 2022 Pinot Noir Estate Reserve is lifted with spicy notes of clove, sour cherries, pink peppercorn, and orange peel. Medium-bodied and inviting, with a delicate, floral and fresh feel on the palate, it has fine tannins and even acidity. Drink this over the next 4-5 years. 615 cases were produced.
