Manoir du Carra Beaujolais Nouveau 2026 is made from 100% Gamay.
Domaine du Manoir du Carra sits in the village of Denicé, in the heart of the Beaujolais, where the property has passed from father to son since 1850. Today the fifth generation of the Sambardier family, Frédéric and Damien, farms around 34 hectares of old-vine Gamay spread across some fifty granite-soiled plots — vines that average 50 to 100 years of age, old even by Beaujolais standards.
Beaujolais Nouveau is the year's first wine: harvested, fermented by carbonic maceration, and bottled within weeks of the vintage to catch Gamay at its freshest. Expect a bright burst of red berries and violets, a light hand of tannin, and a soft, juicy finish. Released the third Thursday of November, it is meant to be poured young, served with a slight chill, and shared — an easy, joyful pour for the Thanksgiving table.
