Grown wild primarily in Southeast Asia, the Pomelo is a member of the citrus family, most closely related to the grapefruit. The juice of the Pomelo is often sweet, tangy and often a bit dry, not much different than that of Sauvignon Blanc, hence the inspiration for Randy and Megan Mason of Mason Cellars. A wine for daily consumption, Pomelo Sauvignon Blanc is Randy’s latest addition to his stable of hand crafted Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit for Pomelo Sauvignon Blanc is typically sourced from cool growing regions like Lake County.
Wonderful grapefruit and figgy nose.
A mouth-watering, vivid style; this wine explodes with delicious flavors of passion fruit, guava, quince, lime peel; with an intensely grapefruit nose.
