The Cortenova Estate

Part of the production is from their own lands which mainly lie on the alluvial rich soil at the confines of the Veneto and Friuli, other is furnished by growers who have worked with the family for years and is basically an extension of their own vineyards.

The winery produces several lines of different quality levels using Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot, Valpolicella, Prosecco, Soave and Bardolino. They have also expanded their production to include wines from Apulia, Calavria, Sicily to offer their clients a complete range of wines.

The family has expanded into the foreign markets slowly making sure that they could handle production requests and maintain quality levels before proceeding on to the next market. This cautiousness has earned them the reputation of being reliable and quality-orientated.

The Miracoli Estate

The co-operative Madonna dei Miracoli of Casalbordino is located at the foot of Galante’s Hill, a few meters from the golden beaches of Casal Brdino Lido. It was founded in 1960, thanks to the commitment of 42 small wine growers who shared the same aim to develop the production of the well-known local hills, where the vine has been carefully grown, with patience and devotion, since ancient times. The winery was named in honor of the Madonna who appeared in Casalbordino’s countryside in 1527. Today the co-op counts 650 members.

The Miracoli Vineyard

They farm about 1,400 hectares (3,458 acres) of vines. Many different grape varieties are grown in the area: Montepulciano and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Sangiovese, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Vermentino. There, moderating sea breezes from the Adriatic heighten the bouquet of this naturally prolific and robust grapes. The soil is calcareous and stony which is excellent for drainage.
