Mordoree Condrieu Reine des Bois is made from 100 percent Viognier.
Domaine de la Mordorée owned this vineyards in the condrieu appelation.
The vineyard was abandonned back in the 1960 as the work couldn't be done by machine. Christophe Delorme found some old plantings of Viognier in the middle of the growing vegatation that took over the piece of property.
The planting was completly redone in 2004.

Terroir: granitic debris on a stiff slope
Harvest: by hand
Vinification: skin contact maceration and direct pressing
Fermentation: already used oak barrels
Color: dense Gold with green hues
Aromas: white and yellow fruits (mango, passion, white peach) and flower (violet)
Flavors: very round, long and complex with a lot of freshness
The soil is extremely poor, which is great for low yield, intense and concentrated wines.
Some asiatic dishes, merely those whish are rich and complex, sweet and sour cuisine, foie gras and aperitive.
