"Starting out the 2012s, the 2012 Lirac La Dame Rousse looks to be a smoking Lirac that has more in common with a top-flight Chateauneuf du Pape. Fresh crushed berries, spice, licorice and tinges of minerality all show on the nose. It is rich, voluptuously textured and rounded on the palate, with sweet tannin and solid precision and focus on the finish. Full-bodied, layered and with a hedonistic slant, it should be consumed in its first 5-7 years of life. Drink 2014-2019.- JD"

100% destemming, 30 day maceration with a maximum of 34°C temperature
Raspberry, black-current and violet aromas. Full bodied, rich and ample on the palate. Nice concentration and a long finish.
Pairs well with red meats, grilled meats, game and cheeses.
