Patton Valley Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.

A bit of classic Oregon Pinot noir potpourri here with a nose of classic Rainier cherry, cola nut, fresh Summer berries, cocoa powder and a dash of savory spice. The palate is expressive and lively, with fresh fruits like boysenberry and raspberry, pipe tobacco, fines herbs, and a strain of tannin woven throughout that dashes and dances. Deceptive in its heft, this lingers and lolls on the palate gracefully.

"Light lurid red. Fresh, energetic and incisive on the highly perfumed, spice- and mineral-accented nose. In a nervy, graceful style, offering gently sweet raspberry and floral pastille flavors that show very good concentration yet no obvious weight. Silky tannins sneak in late on the clinging finish, which leaves hints of white pepper and red fruit preserves behind. This graceful, entry-level Pinot delivers outstanding value. (aged for 10 months in 10% new French oak). - Josh Raynolds"

The Patton Valley Vineyard Estate

Patton Valley Vineyard was founded in 1995 by Monte Pitt and Dave Chen, two former business school classmates. The estate is located in Washington County, just north of the town of Gaston. Jerry Murray joined the team as Cellar Master and Assistant Winemaker.

The Patton Valley Vineyard

Located in the northern reach of the Willamette Valley, the vineyard is sited on a hill with views of Patton Valley to the southwest and the Tualatin Valley to the east. This is a 72-acre parcel with the ideal combination of soil, exposure and elevation. The vineyard currently consists of 23 acres planted to a diverse selection of Pinot noir clones. Utilizing sustainable farming practices, coupled with intense hands-on viticulture and low-impact winemaking techniques, they produce wines that are true to the variety and to their particular site, striving for balanced wines with supple texture, richness and ripe fruit flavors.
