Review:

"Pinino’s 2010 Brunello di Montalcino sees fruit sourced from the northern half of appellation near the Montosoli single-vineyard. The wine opens to medium consistency and pretty ruby color with dark garnet hues. It takes a few minutes to start its engines, but once it does it operates with a slow, steady pace that promises longevity over immediacy. This cellar-worthy Brunello should continue its evolution over the next ten years. The tannins are tight, but they already deliver attractive silkness on the long finish. This promises to be a very enjoyable wine after 2017. - Monica Larner"

Pinino Societa Agricola Estate

Pinino is a wine producer, located in Tuscany, in the village of Montalcino. They produce Brunello di Montalcino, made with 100% Sangiovese grape variety. It is a modern winery, with an accent to clean, traditional winemaking.

Date Founded: 2003

Owner: Max Hernandez and Andrea Gamon

Winery Philosophy: The philosophy of the wine estate is based on three pillars: First, in the for-front of wine production, the vineyard must be of the most selective and highest quality. The old traditions of Montalcino must be combined with a Cellar that allows to preserve the character of the grapes unti the bottle. And finally, through modern marketing Pinino was able to uniquely position itself on the international level.

Pinino wine estate was founded in 1874 by Tito Costanti, Notary public of Montalcino. In 2003, the property was purchased by Andrea and Hannes Gamon of Austria and Max and Silvia Hernandez of Spain with the vision to produce 1st class wines, derived from a common passion.

"Pinino" is the historical name of the winery that was founded in 1874 and was one of the first companies to be inscribed to Consorzio del Vino Brunello
