Product Description

Overview

Winery: Solena

Solena Estate Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.

The nose of this Pinot Noir exhibits a fine balance of red fruits and subtle hints of black tea. On the palate, notes of tart cherries, vanilla and supple spices come together to form a lingering finish. Long tannins seep through this medium bodied wine.

Review:

Translucent ruby. Finely detailed red and blue fruit, floral and exotic spice aromas, along with hints of rhubarb and musky sassafras. Gently sweet and focused raspberry, boysenberry and bitter cherry flavors deepen through the back half with no loss of energy. Silky tannins build through a very long, smooth finish that echoes the spice and blue fruit notes. 15% new French oak. Best After 2024

Soléna is a combination of Spanish and French words Solana and Soleil, celebrating the sun, the moon and cycles of life. We were launched in May of 2000 when our owners purchased our 80-acre estate which became the Domaine Danielle Laurent vineyard. Furthering their successful careers in the Oregon wine industry, Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu gifted this vineyard to each other for their wedding, and began a wine label named Soléna after their daughter.

Soléna Estate showcases the beauty of terroir in our site-specific wines. We craft delicious wine from our own estate vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton and McMinnville AVAs, as well as iconic single vineyards around the Northwest. We're well known for consistent, ageable Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Cabernet Sauvignon. However, our entrepreneurial spirit means we’re always expanding our offerings.
